The James Beard Foundation holds several “Taste America” “walk-arounds” each year that feature local independent restaurants and chefs from the host city and other towns across the US.
The next Walk-Around Tastings is July 27, 2022 at NeueHouse, 6121 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA

The walk-around tasting will have food stations hosted by Chef Natalia Pereira of Woodspoon in Los Angeles features several CA spots including, Akira Akuto and Nick Montgomery of Konbi Katianna and John Hong of Yangban, Margarita Manzke of Republique Michael and Kwini Reed of Poppy and Rose, and Christy Vego of Casa Vega, Sherman Oaks, CA. But it also features Chef Shenarri Freeman of Cadence in New York City and Carlos Gaytan of Tzuco, a recent Michelin star restaurant in Chicago.
